for this weeks project....

I attended the Art Walk in San Diego over the weekend and the Visions Art Quilt gallery was having a fabric sale, along with a great exhibition.  I found this African print fabric, $5 a panel....and lots of other fabrics, too.  I also purchased what appears to be a loom woven piece in natural colored yarn that I hope will readily accept dye.  But, back to the Kenyan fabric, here are some photos of the fabric and then the kimono style jacket I sewed. Notice the vertical African words on the shoulder area.
