working in acrylics and on canvas

I went through an oil on canvas stage and am back to enjoying the feel of working on canvas, but using acrylics.  This started after reading Jane Davies post on cruciforms, using a base layer of papers in the form of a +  then I used heavy string dipped in black paint, not sure which direction is up or down yet and still playing around and enjoying the paint and textures.  The close-up photo shows a piece of cheesecloth that I layered in.  PS, do check out Jane Davies--I LOVE her work!
