craving a sewing project....

I haven't sewn from pattern/new fabric for awhile and was craving that experience--so decided this weekend would be the time to get a project done before spring semester starts at CSUSM.  Thankfully, JoAnns fabrics had coupons--30$ for  a pattern--really??? 14.99 a yard for fabric?? no wonder people don't sew any more.
