learning to do Shashiko

learning to do Shashiko, which is Japanese embroidery stitching. It is proving to be more difficult than it looked-but am loving the challenge.  Here are a few photos of the process.  The bottom photo of the vertical stitches made the base with which to add the horizontal stitches to make the top design.
