traditional quilting

My mother is a traditional quilter and her latest project is making me a quilt using  fabrics that were used when I was younger:  my kindergarten art apron, various outfits, and a few new batik fabrics that we both liked.   I made about 8 of the 90 quilt blocks and did give some ideas on  placement, but Mom gets the credit.  Here is a photo of the current layout....
