stories for art work

In the past days at least 4 people have mentioned the importance of having a "story" behind creative work--it gives the piece life as opposed to just putting paint on a page or sewing 2 fabrics together.  I am playing with this concept...as I continue to work on the "jude hill" inspired piece.
