ileen: I am a creative soul that loves exploring and learning new techniques and am happiest when I have several creative projects going on in my studio which also doubles as my “at home” teaching office. I am a Professor at the University, teaching in first year programs and Kinesiology(health science). I am also a certified instructor for yoga. In the past, I have taught sewing from simple crafts to couture tailoring. Currently, my passions are using fibers, yarns, threads and textiles to create mixed media art and playing with altered couture--bascially "re-creating" a garment. Life is good, not without challenges- I am surrounded by good friends, family and it’s 15 minutes to the ocean!
