future project

I just love finding great stuff at the thrift store---100% wool sweater (from Scotland) that had a few moth holes in the sleeves--for $3.00. 45 miutes later after a hot wash and spin....I have a great piece of felted wool--I forgot to take a before/after shot--so had to lay it on top of another sweater that hasn't been felted.

white shirt: AFTER

here is the finished version--the front panels are the fabric from KS. I still have about 1/2 of it left for a t-shirt or some other project--I just love the fabric--very soft cotton with vertical rows of ric-rac, tucks, trim, etc.

white shirt: BEFORE

I found this fabulous fabric when I was in KS and wanted to use it on a white shirt-it took a while to find a white shirt that would work and was in my budget. I took off the pockets, casing and elastic at the waist and the tabs at the shoulders

another eyeglass holder

this one is from fabric that is a soywax and porcien dye from Melanie Testa workshop last year

little things that make you smile

I have this great paint brush holder that is just so perfect! my first husband was an engineering genius and came up with the idea of putting together PVC pipes at different levels so they hold different size brushes--anyway--it is perfect!!
