The lesson for last month, in Jane LaFazio's art class was using Free Motion Stitching.  So, here are some of my projects.
The top one is on silk fabric, threads, wooden beads, sheer silk. Inspired by the leaves along the path that I run.

this one is very mixed media, sheers, hand dyed cotton, batik, soy wax batik, fabric painting, antique lace and buttons, commercial fabrics, handstitching

back to "happy colors"

using hand dyed fabrics and a few commercial ones  and machine free-motion embroidery....work in progress.....will update in a few days.

using carved stamps to make some projects....

enjoying the use of positive and negative space......different values and sizes of the spiral shape

using bleach spray

I forgot how much fun it is to spray black fabric with bleach spray.  Mix 1/2 and 1/2 water and bleach.  I used a credit card to make lines on the fabric that looks like there are diagonals, washers on the one with circles and a screen for the one that has very small squares.  The bottom photo has the bleached fabric with one I had stenciled before.
