Happy St Patrick's Day

Green pancakes:  for fast version, use bisquick or pancake mix, add green food coloring to the batter, some chopped pistachios or pecans.  Cook on griddle and eat with butter and syrup!

and your quick history lesson for the day:  Saint Patrick is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the Irish.   The day commemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity to Ireland.   The restrictions of eating and or drinking for lent were lifted for the day, which has encouraged and propagated the holiday's tradition of alcohol consumption.

doing some art, but slowly

seems I have a lot on my plate these days, other than art--and green pancakes--haha, if you saw my
FB post, darling husband made me green pancakes for St. Patty's day.  Not sure why I have this infatuation with green pancakes for the holiday----but they just taste so good, mix in green food coloring and a few chopped pistachios or pecans.  BTW, gluten-free bisquick makes really good pancakes.

another in the blooming lotus series--it is a series when I have 2?  who knows, maybe there will be three.  The symbols on the side say Peace in Sanskrit.
