working with old cloth--in progress

stitching away--adding buttons, embroidery, beads

working with old cloth--getting started

inspired by Jude Hill and various other artists, I am working with old fabric, laces, pillowcases, buttons, etc. from my Grandmother and Great Aunt. It is so peaceful as well as energizing--at times I feel surrounded by them.

silk dress Remake

Betty from Tulsa, gave me a beautiful silk dress her daughter had worn several years ago and was no longer wearing. The dress was designed by Sakawitz with a skirt of knife pleats. It took me a little while to get the guts to take a shears and cut into this dress!! But, as you can see, a fabulous jacket emerged--with the pleats for a collar!! loving this!!! have great yellow shoes that are perfect with the outfit!!
