still getting a kick out of hand stitching the entire piece---soy wax dyed, hand painted, stamped, stitched and of course, a button from my grandmother's collection

christmas table runner

so last minute, I decided I should sew a table runner for our family christmas dinner--I like it--it's not quite as artsy as I had wanted--needs more hand-stitching, embroidery, etc. but hey, I'm outta time--gotta start fixing food!!

I have carried around this recipe for years--I mean years--like since the 80's--anyway, finally made the recipe--brown rice and vegetables cooked inside the hollowed out pumpkin

blooming again

last year's poinsetta--blooming again--it outgrew its trash can that covered it for the suggested 14 hours of darkness, so don't know if it will have full flowers or just a few red leaves
